After a series ofnear misses, National Grid were embarking on a new strategy to improve data quality and reduce risk through a new data governance program.

Nikau ltd was brought in to address the issues and quickly translated the business requirements into a new framework and rapidly developed a tool for business consultants to use to support data asset management:

• Define current state of data assets using nodal model building of data lineage modelling and assessments

Business process transformation .

Nikau Ltd were procurred by a leading financial services Wealth Management Company to assess front / back office business transformation opportunities aimed at reducing costs, improving partner client experience, and supporting the business through legislative change.

• Developed a new front end business submission system to enable electronic submission of ‘New Business’ from Illustration engine integrated with CRM systems through to compliance and back office administration centers (straight through processing). Scope of business was ISA, Retirement Planning, Unit Trust, Onshore / Offshore Bonds, Drawdown etc. Included automation of all product, compliance and remuneration rules.

• Nikau successfully led the business analysis work stream responsible for requirements analysis, customer experience wireframes, process design and translation to detailed IT business requirements (Agile development). 
• Managed the scope definition and complex business rules by developing a structured database engine to define all business requirements.
• This has enabled strong governance of development cycle content through change control with offshore Indian IT development platform.

• Resulted in automation of a manual processes, huge reduction in error rework rate, increase in process speed, and significant cost reduction.
